The Big Summer Wrap Up

My mind can't wrap around that its the middle of August.  My kiddos go back to school in 3 days!  Where has the time gone?!?  August brings excitement in our household....it means vacations, birthdays, and a new school year.  Matt, Elizabeth, and Bella all share August birthdays, so that's when we do our Summer fun. 

This year we spent nearly a week on Lake Rathbun in southern Iowa.  We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful week, temps were great, not too crowded on the lake, and we were able to enjoy our new (to us) pontoon boat.

This last weekend we took a short trip back to central Iowa for Matt's birthday present.  We were able to get tickets to the Knoxville Nationals (it's a race thing). We saw our favorite Nascar driver, Kyle Larson, race and it was awesome!

Now that all of the fun is done, its time to hammer down!  Lots of big events this fall for 2 Crafty Country Chicks, and I need to focus!  Here is a preview of the shows we will be at this fall:

• Colchester Fall Festival - August 29th - September 1st
• Spoon River Drive - October 4-5th and 11-12th
• QC Expo Christmas Craft Show - November 28-30th
