About Us

History

As a mom of two pre-teen boys and two baby girls, I really needed something to fulfill my urge to learn and make things.  In 2018-ish I got my hands on some old barnwood that just happened to look like the perfect canvas for Farmhouse Decor.  It turns out my little "crafty outlet" became pretty popular.  Lucky for me, I have an amazing family, and a super amazing cousin who was also an entrepreneur.  She and I thought, maybe we can make a go of a "craft" business.  That's when 2 Crafty Country Chicks started.

Turn the clock to a couple years later, and as in all things, life happens.  In the beginning of 2020 my friend Jessie joined me to keep 2 Crafty Country Chicks moving.  She was the "face" of our facebook.  We grew fast and furious! Barnwood signs phased out, and Epoxy Tumblers were in.  Over a five year period we went from a fun crafty outlet to a full blown Small Business.

In January 2025 it was time to take this business into my own hands, where I've always wanted it to go.  More automation, more timely communication, and an easier way to post ideas and products.  There have been many growing pains and hard conversations, but that leads me to today....

July 1, 2025 This page is active, and my products are for sale.  As I learn more, and become more comfortable, you will see new product offerings, more promotions, and hopefully more personal one and one conversations with me :).

About Me

I'm a 45 year old mom/wife/grammy.  I have a wonderful, supportive husband who puts up with all of the craziness of this business.  I have four amazing kids, that I'm super proud of. Without the support of my family, I could not do this.  My husband helps me make things, set up for craft shows, and emotionally supports the ups and downs of running a small business.  My girls are now old enough to participate/help as my "little chicks".  They enjoy learning about business and how hard work turns in to money....a wild concept in their eyes at 9 and 10 years old :)

I have always enjoyed making things.  At a young age my grandmother taught me how to cross stitch and crochet.  My mom always loved to draw and was very artistic as well.  It is in my genes to want to both make things and make people happy.  My business has allowed me to do both.  My nights and weekends are spent between doing as much with my family as I can and fulfilling the orders from this business.

I spend my days working for MercyOne Genesis, where I have been proudly working since 2010.  Working for the hospital has given me the opportunity to learn so much about change, compassion, empathy, and strong communication.  In my role I work with each and every employee to ensure that they have exactly the training they need to do their job effectively.

In summary...

I am blessed.  I hope that the things you buy from me bring blessings to you.
